The Virtual Museum Academy is organized by V-Must (Network of Excellency for Virtual Museum, FP7 EU funded project), in cooperation with Imperial Fora Museum under the umbrella of events organized for “Keys to Rome. The City of Augustus” (http://www.keys2rome.eu/). The Virtual Museum Academy is a series of workshops and public presentations aiming to provide the cultural heritage operators with an overview of the technologies that can be used in museums and exhibitions in order to create a new and personalized visitor experiences.

The Antiquity has been among the years a source of curiosity and inspiration for a number of societies, that feel an immense repository of cultural heritage, whose material expression is represented by a vast and rich archaeological heritage. The relative abundance in spain of archaeological parks and open air museums dedicated to the Roman world seems to confirm this idea. But this heritage requires constant care and attention.

South-east European Virtual heritage School: Digital Storytelling for Virtual Museums
V-MUST.NET is the largest European Network of Excellence dedicated to Virtual Museums (www.v-must.net). Part of its actitivities are focused on training and mobility. The V-MUST training program aims to create qualified professionals with mixed expertise in Cultural Heritage, Information and Communication Technologies and Natural Sciences. It is addressed to post-graduate and Ph.D. students, to young researchers and professionals who are already employed in a specific sector.

Swedish Virtual Heritage School 2013
The Swedish Virtual Heritage School is mainly focused on the key factors for the successful design of a virtual museum. During the course several lecturers from different research areas analyse and present different aspects of this topic, providing a complete overview of the subject: design and usability, the use of storytelling techniques, virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D modelling etc.
