The Department of Electronics and Computation of the University of Santiago de Compostela has been working in the spreading of cultural heritage by new technologies from 1996.
The research group that will host the internships investigates human-computer interaction, virtual reconstruction and computer graphics and their application in real life.
The group has developed a range of technologies and has produced numerous very interesting virtual reconstructions of different monuments and traditions, which have been exhibited in the most important museums and universities around Europe.

Projects will be dependent on the knowledge and background of the intern and the on-going projects of the research group.
Internship profile:
The research group welcomes applications in all relevant research areas, but is particularly interested in collaborating with interns who may bring experience and expertise in the application of Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Graphics.

Facilities and Supervision:
All hardware and software, internet access and technical permissions necessary to carry out the agreed programme of work will be provided.
Overall supervision of the internship programme will be undertaken by Dr. Julian Flores González, who will also ensure that any training in technologies and methods that may be required will be provided.
